One of my favorite sounds is my wife’s contented sigh whenever she finishes a great novel. After uttering that sigh, she’ll also sometimes express remorse that the story is over–the characters will remain forever on those pages, never to be heard from again.

We had amazing Easter services at all our sites last Sunday. There was abundant joy, elation, and energy in all parts of the city! The great thing about Easter is that there doesn’t have to be remorse because there this story has no “The End.” The individuals in the gospels live on and tell others about this amazing news. Brothers and sisters in the faith have continued to share this story throughout the centuries and it’s now up to you and me to let people know that after Easter, it’s not “The End.” The next sentence begins, “And then…”

How will you continue the story? Will you be content with a “The End”? Or will you be so compelled by this narrative of new life that you’ll say, instead, “And then this is what happened…”
